Well our Intrepid cast takes a little trip across the 30k, meeting all the old folks and helping them out of their spaceship. Then for Grins and Giggles that's back to the Old Homestead and take a look around and see how the water is. So out of the ice pick and into the Shark Tank. It looks like the old management has decided to renovate someplace else, but you can go home again. So they returned to pick up the whole gang and bring them back home with a particularly violent attitude and introducing themselves to new groups of friends some of them human and some rather large. But now that we have an aggressive take over it seems like real estate's getting a little tough. So everybody discusses and makes their positions known their positions known. Once everyone is settled down we had fireworks a few other party favors.Overall, great third book, characters are still good, dialogues believable and is always there someone ready to mess up your day and someone else to help out. Really enjoying the series. I can't wait for the next one which I'm buying immediately after I submit this review. Read all three it's worth it. Just watch out for the lankie I have just finished the 6th book in the series, so I'm just going to shortly review it as a whole. The writing is good, and I enjoyed the story, audible quality was also good. There is obvious that the writer has military experience, as the atmosphere he creates puts you directly there, on the frontlines.Now, why I am giving only 4 stars, is because it always takes too long to get to the action, and from one point to another. There is too much descriptive content, and even if it gives you a better view of the world around, I could easily do without maybe 30% of content. I would like to see a more fast paced content in the next iteration of the series, and also find out more about the aliens. There were years since the 1st contact, and still too little is being known about them.The series starts from the beginning of a military career and the main hero goes slowly up the ladder. He's not your usual main character around which the fate of the humanity revolves, but instead we're given the recount through the eyes of a survivor of certain key events, and this is a nice change. Oh and yea, the hero always looses his rifle...This being said, I'm looking forward to the next book!
